This system is configured to deposit Xerox phase change solid ink. The solid ink may be used for masking purposes protecting the underlying surface from post-printing treatments such as etching or overprinting. The solid ink mask can be removed from the substrates by chemical or physical means to uncover the protected region. The system is capable of 60-micron features and operates with a Tact time of 2 seconds. Product applications include printing of masks on functional films, sheets of glass or metal followed by etching steps to render relief patterns on the substrates.

The Starlight 1000AG is a production system capable of accommodating plastic and glass substrates. This system is configured to deposit conductive metal inks that may be used for building conductive wiring on flexible, stretchable or rigid substrates with applications in displays, solar, machine interfaces and wearables. Starlight 1000AG may be configured with thermal or photonic sintering capabilities depending on application or customer preference. The ink jet head architecture can be configured to provide very high resolution with an in-line automated inspection process to ensure high quality output. Product applications include bus bar printing on touch sensors on plastic substrates, circuits on appliance interfaces and a range of medical device applications.

The system may be configured to deposit from 1 to 5 color or functional UV-curable inks for decorative or industrial purposes. Starlight 1000XW is configured with UV curing bars with a Tact time of under 4 seconds. An in-line automated inspection process ensures high quality output. Product applications include printing on large format glass sheets, printing patterns of wide plastic sheets used for decorative room surrounds.
